Tottenham are keen to make one final squad sale in the coming days despite the Premier League transfer window closing on August 30.

Spurs have been busy in the final days of the EPL window as Ange Postecoglu looks to trim his bloated squad for the 2024/25 campaign.

Giovani Lo Celso’s transfer to La Liga’s Real Betis was the final deal, but Postecoglu was unable to offload defender Sergio Reguilon in the final hours before the deadline.

Reguilon is out of contract at the end of the 2024/25 season, following loan spells at Manchester United and Brentford in 2023/24, and Spurs could release him on a free transfer or agree another loan exit.

However, the club are still confident of securing a fee for the Spain international amid rumours of a reunion with former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce.

The Turkish Super Lig transfer window remains open until September 13 and reports of Football Insider indicate that Reguilon received a “Turkish ultimatum.”

If the 27-year-old is unable or unwilling to join Turkey, he will not feature significantly in Postecoglu’s plans and will spend the majority of the campaign on the bench.

A January departure remains a possible option, but interested clubs will push for a free transfer as he will be in the final six months of his contract.
