Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson was confused and incensed to learn that fellow former UFC light-heavyweight champion Rashad Evans had joined the newly founded Global Fight League, putting their bout scheduled for April in Jeopardy.
So he took to the internet to taunt his rival, the man who beat him in the main event of UFC 114 back in 2010 and whom he is scheduled to box at an upcoming Influencer Crossover Series event in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The only problem with that? Evans says he never agreed to be part of the GFL.
“I’m NOT!! Let me be clear!” Rashad wrote on Twitter, “I was added to this without my consent!! You ain’t off the hook that easy!”

The GFL made waves when they announced themselves as the new promotion on the block with big ideas like sharing 50% of revenue with athletes and a team-based format with a draft.
Many fans embraced the new competition in the UFC-dominated global MMA marketplace, but the head-scratching decisions by the promotion have done anything but earn good will with the community.
Quinton ‘Rampage’ being 46 years old and ‘Suga’ Rashad Evans being 45 made fans nervous to begin with,.
The situation with Evans could be seen coming a mile away, given that multiple other fighters denied being part of the promotion after social media posts by the GFL falsely declared their signing.
As of Monday morning the Los Angeles team’s roster, led by Kings MMA coach Rafael Cordeiro and managed by former UFC champion Cain Velasquez, was updated with Evans removed from the team.

The team will have to select a replacement fighter from the pool of more than three hundred alleged signings. Hopefully the next one sticks.
