Carbon Ore is one of the most important materials for late-game crafting in Dune Awakening. This is a limited resource only found in one of the mid-game regions of Arrakis. Finding Carbon Ore can be a challenge in itself in Dune Awakening, unless you are properly guided. The area where the Ores can be found are surrounded by quicksand, so small mistakes can cause much bigger problems. So if you need help, then follow our guide on where to find Carbon Ore in Dune Awakening.

Carbon Ore can be mined from Carbon deposits in Dune Awakening. Now, Carbon deposits cannot be found in the early regions of Arrakis. You can find Carbon Deposits in Jabal Eifrit Al-janub. This place is located north of Eastern Vermillius Gap, and holds many important items like Calibrated Servok.

Heading to Jabal Eifrit Al-janub is extremely tricky as the place is surrounded by quicksand. Whatever you do, don’t enter the quicksand unless you want to be worm food. Once you have reached Jabal Eifrit Al-janub, look around for Carbon deposits. Now, you can pick Carbon Ore from the ground or use a Cuttray to mine the Carbon Deposits.

However, you must craft a Cutteray MK2 at a minimum to mine Carbon Ores. Anything less than that and you won’t be able to mine the deposits. You can craft the MK2 with the following items:

  • 10 Iron Ingots
  • 7 EMF Generators

You can find Iron ore in Eastern Vermillius Gap and process it into Iron Ingots using the Small Ore Refinery. EMF Generators can also be found in Eastern Vermillius Gap, but inside caves. Explore caves and loot chests to find this item. After you have crafted the Cutteray MK2, you can look for Carbon deposits and mine them for Carbon Ores.

Now, if you urgently require Carbon Ores but lack the materials to craft the Cutteray, your best bet is to pick up the Carbon Ores from the ground near the Carbon deposits. Although you only get a very small amount of Carbon Ores this way, it is still better than nothing and doesn’t require any additional items.

Another way to get Carbon Ores is by looting chests in Jabal Eifrit Al-janub. However, the enemies in this area are very strong, so you’d better have the best armor and weapons equipped.
