Dune Awakening features different quest types, ranging from the mainline Trial of Aql missions to non-essential contracts that function like fetch quests. The first contract players will sign up for is Scrap Mettle: Wrecking Crew, which requires you to find a Holtzman Amplifier. Dune Awakening Holtzman Amplifier Location
After starting the contract, the first step is to find the wreck of the Alcyon. The ship’s ruins are located directly east of Griffin’s Reach, and getting there should only take around 3-5 minutes on foot. Make sure to stick to the rocky outcrops and avoid walking in the open sand whenever possible. Why? To escape Sandworms in Dune Awakening, of course.
Once you get to the wreck, the objective is simple. Follow the linear path through the ship’s interior and look for a room that has a planet-shaped holorgram inside. In this room, walk towards the chest on a table behind the hologram. Inside it, you’ll find the Holtzman Amplifier. After grabbing the item, you can return to Griffin’s Reach and finish the contract.
The shipwreck is packed with enemies, but they’re not difficult by any means. Starter weapons like the Maula Pistol should fare just fine if you consistently alternate between ducking behind cover and firing. Just make sure to collect plant fiber along the way in case you need health kits urgently.
