A mysterious Message in a Bottle has washed up on the shore of Moosewood in Fisch, filled with a water-damaged note bearing nothing but coordinates and a vague direction to collect a crate in Roslit Bay.
Here’s how to track down the enigmatic location hinted at in the message and claim its treasure for your own.
Fisch Message in a Bottle quest guide
To start the Message in a Bottle quest in Fisch, you need to head to Moosewood, otherwise known as the starting island in the First Sea, and look for a highlighted bottle on the shoreline next to the docks.
You find the bottle just at the bottom of the slope where the docks transition into Moosewood Village, next to the cosmetics vendor and level with the shipwright.
Interact with the bottle and the quest log will appear on your screen, saying: ‘Travel to Roslit and pick up a crate’.
Confusingly, a message will also appear describing the note inside the bottle, mentioning coordinates and a scribbled phrase. You don’t actually get any coordinates to follow, and the scribbled phrase must be referring to collecting a crate in Roslit Bay.
To find the crate, make the short hop from Moosewood to Roslit Bay to the northeast. In Roslit Bay, disembark at the docks, then make your way inland towards the volcano, past the angler and pond.
Clamber over the planks bridging the lava flow coming from the volcano and near the Roslit Volcano entrance you will find a white crate on its own in a patch of brown dirt.
You find the Message in a Bottle’s crate at the GPS coordinates: -1877.5, 165.2, 551.1.
Interact with the crate and you’ll get two great rewards including a huge chunk of XP and 15 Kraken Tentacles.
Kraken Tentacles are a legendary tier bait which give a solid boost to luck and lure speed. So while they’re no fish’s main preferred bait, they’re still a good item for high-level hunts.
