The Lakers star recently shared a clip from a Hennessy commercial, where he leaned into the fan-created narrative that he only reads the first page of every book he reads.

Adding to the speculation, James was spotted holding “The Autobiography of Malcolm X” in his hand a few years ago during a media meeting. A journalist asked him what his greatest lesson wasand some fans joked that James wasn’t actually reading it after he began his response by saying about the book, “I just started it a few days ago.”

James joined in the fun around his reading habits with a new clip sponsored by Hennessy.
