Mike Macdonald’s third season in charge of the Seahawks has already proved notable. Under his tutelage, Seattle has become one of the league’s most well-balanced teams. The Seahawks used a stifling defense and explosive offense to race to a joint-best record in the NFL this season.
Now, Seattle is looking for more. Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba spearheaded an offensive unit that ripped defenses apart, particularly in the passing game. They’ll look to rekindle those exploits in postseason play.
The Seahawks are three games away from football immortality. Based on their regular-season showing, there is reason to believe they can get there.

The Seahawks were the NFC’s top side during the regular season, besting all but three sides en route to a glistening 14-3 record. Their win over the 49ers in Week 18 earned them the NFC West crown, as well as the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
And, as it turns out, a rematch in their first playoff game. After San Francisco knocked out defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia on Sunday, the 49ers will head to Seattle next weekend.
The date, time and channel for Seattle’s divisional round matchup won’t be known until the end of the first round. However, cord-cutters will be able to watch the Seahawks’ game on Fubo.
