Jack Catterall and Josh Taylor don’t like each other at all. Both will seek to resolve their differences when they meet in an anticipated non-title rematch.
Catterall lost to Taylor in 2022 for the undisputed lightweight gold despite the latter falling in the eighth and both having a point deducted. It was considered a controversial scoring decision that has had Catterall fuming ever since. “El Gato” has called for a rematch, while fights with Taylor never materialized due to unfortunate injuries.

Since then, Lancashire-born Catterall has won two fights in a row, with his last fight being a decision victory against Jorge Linares. Injuries affected Taylor’s career and stripped him of several belts before losing the rest of his gold against Teofimo López. Initially scheduled for April, the fight was postponed by a month.
The co-feature will see Cheavon Clarke take on Ellis Zorro for the vacant British Cruiserweight title. Jamaica-born Clarke has won six fights by knockout and is looking to go 2-0 in 2024. Zorro has seven wins via power punch. The 31-year-old is coming off a loss against Jai Opetaia for The Ring cruiserweight belt in December that snapped his undefeated streak.
