There weren’t many true fight fans who lost sleep because the fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson was postponed last week. However, those same fans are still interested in the rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano that was scheduled to be the co-main event.

As widely reported, Tyson received medical attention for “an ulcer flare-up” on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles last Sunday. The former heavyweight champion was scheduled to face YouTuber/professional boxer Paul at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on July 20, but the event was understandably postponed.

With Tyson turning 58 on June 30, it’s fair to say the fight with Paul is shaky in terms of the former champion’s involvement. This recent health scare is ample proof of this.

So what’s up with Taylor vs. Serrano 2? How long should these pound-for-pound stars wait before securing a date and location for a major fight? Well, early reports are that the rematch will take place in…wait for it…Germany.

The Jugo Mobile breaks down what we know and don’t know about Taylor vs. Serrano 2.

Will Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano 2 take place in Germany?

The Irish Times reported that the most anticipated fight in women’s boxing would take place in Frankfurt. Given that Taylor is Irish, Serrano is Puerto Rican, and the first fight took place in New York, this seemed about as random a location as one could imagine.

Sure enough, Jake Paul’s company, Most Valuable Promotions, immediately announced that these reports were not true.

Katie Taylor vs. Will Amanda Serrano 2 take place on the rescheduled Paul-Tyson card?

At the time of writing this article, nothing has been confirmed or denied.

When the fight between Paul and Tyson was originally set, the rematch between Taylor and Serrano was a welcome addition to the card. For those who don’t like to indulge in YouTuber matchups and the like, this fight made the event legit and more appealing to a hardcore audience.

The fight between Paul and Tyson will be broadcast on Netflix, which will enter boxing for the first time. Having an elite matchup between two of the best fighters in the world seemed like a very smart business move for the famous streaming service.

Will they keep that plan going? Stay tuned.
