Wrexham finished second in the EFL League Two table last season, earning promotion to League One.
The Welsh club are now just two tiers away from the wealth and glamour of the Premier League, with the impact of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s takeover transforming the club’s fortunes in just a few years.
The 2024/25 season will see Wrexham attempt to secure promotion again, this time to the EFL Championship, but the challenges are only getting tougher. League One includes former Premier League sides Charlton Athletic, Huddersfield Town, Bolton Wanderers and Birmingham City, the club part-owned by Tom Brady.

Wrexham standings: League One’s latest promotion spots
In League One, the top two teams in the table at the end of the season are promoted to the Championship. The team that finishes first is declared league champion.
The teams ranked third to sixth advance to the playoffs: a mini knockout tournament consisting of two home-and-away semi-finals and a final. The winner of the final is also promoted to the championship.
