After beating the Cincinnati Bengals 16-10 in Week 1 and starting the season 1-0, the New England Patriots will host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
New England showed a lot of grit in its opening win, committing to the ground game and playing physical defense that resulted in multiple takedowns.
The Patriots aren’t expected to be one of the best teams in the NFL this year, but neither are the Seahawks, who also won their first game of the year.

Injury Concerns
New England practiced without guard Sidy Sow and had safety Kyle Dugger, guard Layden Robinson, running back JaMycal Hasty, linebacker Anfernee Jennings, offensive tackle Vederian Lowe, running back Antonio Gibson, safety Jabrill Peppers, linebacker Joshua Uche and defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr. starting Thursday.
Seattle practiced without running back Kenneth Walker III, defensive tackle George Fant, right end Pharaoh Brown and Uchenna Nwosu. They also had linebacker Tyrel Dodson, wide receiver Tyler Lockett, linebacker Jerome Baker, Dre’Mont Jones and cornerback Riq Woolen as limited players.
