Rebuilding their reputation after some disappointing seasons in the Premier League in recent years, Arsenal are real title contenders again in 2023/24 after falling short in their title chase last time out.
The Gunners led the league for most of 2022/23 but slipped in recent weeks to finish five points behind a rising Manchester City side who achieved a historic treble.
Arsenal spent big to add star players in the off-season in a bid to claim another title in 2023/24, but silverware remains elusive for the Gunners, with their most recent trophy being the FA Cup in 2020.

When did Arsenal last win the Premier League?
Arsenal They last won the Premier League title in 2003/04adding 90 points in 38 games without losing a single game.
Of course, this achievement is known as ‘The Invincibles’, as many consider that team to be possibly the best in Premier League history, under the leadership of the legendary Arsene Wenger.
In 2003/04, the Gunners recorded important victories in many close fixtures, including a 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield, as well as a double over London rivals Chelsea, who were their closest competitors for the title.
Most famously, they were involved in one of the most iconic matches in Premier League history: a 0-0 draw against Manchester United in September 2003. Labeled the “Battle of Old Trafford”, both Manchester United and Arsenal were involved in a very bad-tempered affair with multiple instances of fighting throughout.
Gunners captain Patrick Vieira was sent off with 13 minutes remaining in the match, and then Man United’s Ruud Van Nistelrooy missed a last-minute penalty for the hosts. That led to Martin Keown celebrating wildly in front of the Dutchman, as Wenger’s team clung to a 0-0 draw before a melee broke out at the final whistle.
Six Arsenal players and two United men were charged with “inappropriate conduct” by the FA after the match. This result was seen as a symbol of United’s dominance beginning to falter, while also providing the fuel for Arsenal to remain unbeaten, while the Red Devils could only manage a third-place finish.
Wenger’s men never looked back. The rest, as they say, is history.
What has Arsenal’s record been since their last Premier League title?
Despite consistently finishing in the top four and securing Champions League qualification from the 2004/05 campaign to 2015/16 under Wenger, the Gunners have not regularly challenged for the title ahead of the 2022/23 season.
They finished five points behind Manchester City and led the league for much of the way, only to fade in the final two months of the season as the defending champions caught up and overtook them with the head-to-head matchup tipping the balance.
