The regime Episode 5 “All Ye Faithful” might end in horror for Chancellor Elena Vernham (Kate Winslet) and Herbert Zubak (Matthias Schoenaerts), but it begins with the couple’s own twisted version of domestic bliss. We learn that the two are now a legitimate couple, with Elena’s doting French husband (Guillaume Gallienne) exiled in Switzerland. As the nation falls apart, Elena and Zubak become more concerned about their relationship, going to couples therapy and working on “not biting” during sex. Indeed, the duo is strange. Regime The sex scene of episode 5 had the scenario of the HBO drama in hysteria. At least, according to Kate Winslet…

Let’s back up a little. At the end of The regime Episode 4 “Midnight Party”, Zubak murders his way out of the palace’s underground dungeon and into Elena’s arms. The two eventually collide, offering a form of catharsis to Regime spectators. The regime Episode 5 begins six months later. Elena and Zubak, wearing matching beige pajamas, attend couples therapy. The question? Once again, Zubak places incredible importance on what he sees in dreams. Specifically, he wants to bite Elena’s fingers.

Later in the episode, we see the two happily ignore the increasingly encroaching rebel forces to get dirty between the sheets. Their athletic relationship is sweaty, quirky, and involves Elena sticking her fingers in Zubak’s mouth, with the warning, “Don’t bite!”

It’s the latest absurd moment to grace the HBO drama. However, as Regime Star Kate Winslet revealed at a press conference attended by Jugo Mobile that this particular scene had its own challenges. Specifically, key crew members were laughing so much that they had to be excused from the set.

“We had a couple of moments where things happened that were so funny that people had to be sent away,” Winslet said at the HBO-hosted event. “When we were filming episode 5, Elena and Zubak were having sex and she was yelling at him, ‘Don’t bite! Biting is not allowed, two people had to be removed for laughing.”

Two people walking off the set for a laugh doesn’t seem like a big deal, but the exiles were cinematographer Alvin Küchler and a hair and makeup artist, “which was actually kind of a problem,” Winslet said.

“Matías had all these [fake] tattoos. I was getting sweatier and sweatier, and they kept sticking to parts of my body,” Winslet said. “I thought, ‘This is really like I have the newspaper printed on me.’”

Somehow, professionalism prevailed. Winslet and Schoenaerts were able to complete the scene, which we can now enjoy on The regime Episode 5.

“Yes, but they had to be sent,” Winslet said. “That would happen, that happened many times.”
