Marc Summers Claims ‘Quiet On Set’ Producers ‘Ambushed’ Him During His Interview and ‘Made It Look Like’ He Knew Dan Schneider

Former Double challenge Host Marc Summers can be seen speaking positively about his experience working with Nickelodeon on the incendiary documentary. Silence on the set: The dark side of children’s television. But Summers claims he was unaware of the subject of the docu-series and is now criticizing the producers for “bait and switch.”

speaking in Elvis Durán and the morning showSummers said he had agreed to be interviewed under the impression that the docuseries was about the network.

“They asked me what I thought of Nick, and the first 10 to 12 seconds, as I understand it, in this documentary is me saying all these wonderful things. But they caught me and attacked me,” Summers said, according to Variety. “They ambushed me. They never told me what this documentary was really about. And then they showed me a video of something I couldn’t believe was on Nickelodeon. And I said, ‘Well, let’s stop the tape right here.’ What are we doing?'”.

He Silence on set The documentary featured several former Nickelodeon actors and employees who detailed their experiences working with Dan Schneider, creator and writer of several series, and discussed Drake Bell’s sexual assault.

Summers claimed he walked out of the interview after learning what it would really entail.

“I left. So I got a phone call about six weeks ago telling me that you were totally out of the program. And I said, ‘Cool.’ Then they called me about four weeks ago and said, ‘Well, you’re in this, but you’re only in the first part because you spoke up.’ about the positive things about Nickelodeon,” Summers said. “What they didn’t tell me, and what they lied to me about, was the fact that they put that other thing where they had the camera looking at me when they ambushed me. And now we get into a whole situation about who is unethical.”

Summers clarified that he never met or worked with Schneider, as his time at the network ended long before Schneider began working there.

“Those people came later and took over our studios. “I never met that man, I have no idea about any of that stuff,” he said. “I mean, I know Kenan [Thompson] of Kenan and Kel, because we have done things together. But as far as what happened on that show with any of those people, I never met any of them. Did not know anybody. But it seemed like he knew those people.”

The former game show host stated that he plans to speak with the people involved soon. “Well, a phone call will come at 3 o’clock today,” he said.

An extra episode of Silence on set is scheduled to premiere this Sunday (April 7) on ID and air on Max at 8/7c.
