After a very unique preparation, the time is approaching for WBC super lightweight champion Devin Haney and challenger Ryan Garcia to meet at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on April 20. The 12-round fight, in addition to preliminary action, will air on DAZN PPV.
Before fists began flying, the pair met to trade verbal jabs at the final press conference in New York.
Given how heated things were between them when the fight was originally announced, the main takeaway among the expletives was that the traditional confrontation was canceled.

Insults have been thrown back and forth on social media for weeks, prompting Haney to tell DAZN that his opponent has “crossed the line” with his pre-fight theatrics.

3:24 pm Eastern Time: Both fighters tell each other that they are afraid of having a shootout in the center of the ring. There is now an official bet that Garcia will pay Haney $500,000 for every pound he is overweight on weigh-in day. The limit is 140 pounds.
3:22 pm Eastern Time: Haney takes the stage. “This is a fight I’ll make easy. I’ve stayed focused. I have tunnel vision. All of his antics will betray him.”
