The injury-hit Knicks have taken another hit.

In the first half of Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, forward Josh Hart appeared to be in serious discomfort after contact with Pacers forward Andrew Nembhard. Hart remained in the game for the moment but grimaced as if the pain increased with more activity.

Hart came out briefly and applied heat to his abdominal area, but continued playing the game. In the second half, Hart uncharacteristically asked to be taken off, but he again returned to the court to play despite his apparent discomfort.

What is Josh Hart’s injury?

Early in the fourth quarter, Hart was discarded for the rest of the game with abdominal pain.

Hart appeared to suffer the injury after receiving a blow to the abdominal area from Nembhard. On a subsequent play, Hart appeared to aggravate the injury, causing him to react to the discomfort.

During the broadcast, Hart was caught with duct tape on his abdominal area.

In the third quarter, Hart was briefly taken off after calling for a substitution, but returned to the court after a quick break from the action.

Hart was ruled out of the game in the fourth quarter, according to Cassidy Hubbarth.

Will Josh Hart play in Game 7 against the Pacers?

Hart has been diagnosed with an abdominal strain and is listed as questionable for Game 7. on the Knicks’ injury report.

Hart will try to play despite the injury, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

New York cannot afford to lose another key contributor. After entering the postseason without All-Star Julius Randle, the Knicks lost OG Anunoby, Bojan Bogdanovic and Mitchell Robinson to injuries.
