Jrue Holiday was Boston’s hero in Game 2, scoring a team-high 26 points on an 11-of-14 shooting effort that featured just one miss inside the arc. Although he has yet to find his scoring touch, Jayson Tatum dominated the game in other areas. The All-NBA forward played tight defense and filled the scoring with 18 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds.
The Mavericks came out strong thanks to another inspired performance from Luka Doncic, who scored 23 points in the first half. He finished the game with 32 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, but Dallas received another effort from Kyrie Irving (16 points on 7-of-18 shooting).
They say a series doesn’t really start until the visiting team wins a game. Will Boston make that happen in Game 3? Or will Dallas keep its title hopes alive?
