Dutch European Championship record
The Netherlands are among the previous European Championship champions, having won Euro ’88 in West Germany.
With an all-star cast that included captain Ruud Gullit, Frank Rijkaard and then-player Ronald Koeman, the Dutch defeated the Soviet Union 2-0 in the final, with Marco van Basten scoring one of the greatest goals of all time .
The Oranje also lost semi-finalists in 1992, 2000 and 2004.
