The crowds at Euro 2024 are also getting involved, with fans from each nation choosing to face off in their own competition: a battle of the best foods.
Fans from a multitude of nations are attacking their opponents on the court, through their stomachs. Signs of fans of certain countries are shooting at their opponents while their respective teams go to war on the field.

Euro 2024 is one of the most competitive tournaments you will find in football, as 24 countries battle each other to be crowned champions of the continent.
The fights are not limited to the fights themselves. Fans have taken it upon themselves to throw punches at their opponents in the stands, and the focus is on the food.
There are no physical fights over food in the stands. While elementary and middle school students can choose to engage in battles by throwing vegetables and proteins at each other, no food is thrown into the crowd. Rather, it is a war of words at Euro 2024.
It all started on the first Saturday of the tournament, when among the Swiss faithful there was a sign that read: “Fondue is better than goulash.” It was a blow against Hungary, which the Swiss were facing that day, and against the proprietary foods that Hungarians serve.

That domino resulted in a host of others falling, resulting in a culinary conflict. Since the first signage was seen between Switzerland and Hungary, several other nations have chosen to declare that their foods are better than their opposition.

There are worse ways for fanatics to attack their counterparts. And the signs have spread to a multitude of matches, including Italy against Albania, Poland against the Netherlands and Austria against France.
While these attacks may resonate with certain audience members, it is as innocent a way as possible to attack the opponent during a football game.
