Austria emerged as the surprise winners of Euro 2024 Group D after claiming a 3-2 victory over the Netherlands at Berlin’s Olympiastadion on Tuesday.

Once again, the Dutch and their fans were optimistic; Again, it didn’t last. Substitute Christoph Baumgartner made a magnificent pass through a static defense and Sabitzer finished with his left foot into the top corner.
Weghorst headed in after a good cross from Geertruida, but the orange team could not achieve a third comeback. They will progress as one of the best third-place teams, meaning a potentially tougher round of 16 match awaits them. Austria, against all odds, goes through as first in the group to face the second in Group F.
