Every basketball player dreams of making it to the NBA one day. Hearing Adam Silver or Mark Tatum call their names in the NBA Draft is an achievement that only 60 players (and sometimes less) achieve each year.
Some players miss that opportunity, but that doesn’t close the door to their dream. Many players sign contracts immediately after the NBA Draft, joining rosters on two-way deals or trying out for the Summer League team.
Either way, the draft is just one way for players to get to the NBA. There have been a number of success stories in league history of players who went undrafted and instead made their way through other avenues.
