We know Garfield hates Mondays, but this Monday brings some news that will surely cheer up that lazy cat: The Garfield Movie It will be available to buy and rent on digital platforms tomorrow.
Based on the Garfield comic strip created by Jim Davis, this 2024 animated film is the third Garfield film that will be released in theaters. (The first two films, Garfield: The Movie and Garfield: A Tale of Two Kittenswere “live action” and starred Bill Murray as the voice of the eponymous orange cat). In the new Garfield In the film, Chris Pratt lends his voice to the wisecracking kitty, while Nicholas Hoult voices Jon Arbuckle, Garfield’s owner. The star-studded voice cast also includes Harvey Guillén as Odie, Samuel L. Jackson as Garfield’s father, and Hannah Waddingham as a Persian cat named Jinx. Additional voice cast includes Ving Rhames, Cecily Strong, Brett Goldstein, Bowen Yang, and Snoop Dogg.
The Garfield Movie It was released in theaters in May and was a box office success, grossing more than $244.8 million worldwidePerhaps that’s why Sony opted to keep the film in theaters for two months, rather than one month as is the new norm for most major studios.

If you rent the film, you’ll have a 48-hour window to watch it after you hit “play.”
