Tottenham’s summer has already been full of departures, but if the latest reports coming out of the club are to be believed, then one first-team player has decided to stay.
Midfielder Oliver Skipp has apparently turned down a transfer to Leeds United, opting to remain with Spurs for now.
As the Londoners prepare for their first pre-season game against Hearts in Scotland, they have already been involved in significant activity in the transfer market.
New faces Lucas Bergvall and Archie Grey They are already integrating into the team, while Japhet Tanganga, Ryan Sessegnon, Eric Dier and Ivan Perisic left in the summer.

For now, it looks like Skipp won’t be joining them, though that could still change.
The 23-year-old, who has been at Tottenham since his youth, is said to have turned down the chance to reunite with his former Norwich City manager Daniel Farke at Leeds United. The midfielder spent time on loan at the Canaries under Farke in 2020/21.

Skipp’s future at Tottenham remains uncertain
Even if he decides to stay, Skipp’s status at Tottenham is far from guaranteed.
With the addition of new midfielders Bergvall and Gray to the squad, his chances of getting regular playing time appear to have diminished even further.
Tottenham have also been linked with further midfield signings, including Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher.
