Everton young defender Jarrad Branthwaite is preparing for a new season at Goodison Park, despite rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United.
The 22-year-old had an impressive last season, cementing his place in the Toffees’ first team and forming a strong defensive partnership with James Tarkowski.
Branthwaite’s performances earned him a call-up to England and his first cap, which in turn sparked interest from top clubs, with Manchester United reportedly making offers for him.

However, speaking from Everton’s training camp in Ireland, Branthwaite expressed his desire to continue progressing with his current club.
“I think for me it’s just about taking what I learned from last season and the season before, and putting it all together,” Branthwaite shared via Everton Official Website.
“Last season, playing all the games I played helped me perform well and gain the experience I needed. I’m going to take that into this season and continue learning.”

Will Jarrad Branthwaite leave Everton?
Manchester United have reportedly already had two rejected bids for Branthwaite this summer. And with the June deadline for the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules to apply, Everton now appear to be in a stronger position to reject any offer that does not meet their valuation of the player.
United, meanwhile, have been exploring other options to strengthen their defence, including a full deal for 18-year-old Lille prospect Leny Yoro and continued interest in Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt.
Despite ongoing speculation, Branthwaite remains focused on contributing to Everton’s success next season.
“When you have a good defensive record, it gives you confidence for the new season. It’s not just the defenders who contribute to that, it’s the whole team,” he said.
