Ange Postecoglou challenged Yves Bissouma after his superb goal in Tottenham’s friendly win over QPR.
Spurs won 2-0 at Loftus Road on Saturday in their final warm-up game before heading out on their pre-season tour of Asia. They next face Vissel Kobe in Tokyo on July 27.
Bissouma scored a superb opening goal against QPR by combining with Dejan Kulusevski during a stunning run and finish. Rising star Dane Scarlett scored the second goal in the dying minutes for the Premier League side.
However, Postecoglou is demanding more from Bissouma, who joined from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2022 for a fee of £30m ($32.1m).

After the match, Postecoglou said Bissouma’s goal could give him real confidence ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League season.
However, the Spurs boss was keen to see the midfielder continue to improve rather than focus on one impressive inpidual moment.

“It’s just a friendly,” he said. “I want to see him do it in a friendly match.” [competitive] Game. He is capable of doing it.
“That’s our challenge to all our guys. We know they have the capabilities. We have to do it when it’s necessary. He was good today, he was good during the preseason and we just have to keep pushing him.”
Spurs pre-season schedule and first Premier League game of 2024/25
Spurs will face Vissel Kobe in Tokyo before playing their best XI from South Korea’s top flight on July 31.
They then face a double-header against Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, where they will face former star striker Harry Kane.
Spurs’ first game of the new Premier League season will be against promoted Leicester City on August 19.
