Sarr has been rising through the ranks at OGC Nice. The 25-year-old established himself as a regular in the summer of 2016 and spent four years with them before leaving the club to join Chelsea as a free agent in 2020.
The move to Stamford Bridge has not worked out as planned for the centre-back. He spent the first season on loan at FC Porto, where he barely made any first-team appearances. He was then loaned out for the entire season to AS Monaco, but even that did not work out so well for him.
Although Sarr returned to his parent club for the 2023/24 campaign, he was left out of the first-team squad for the entire season by then-manager Mauricio Pochettino.

RC Lens to sign Sarr
There is good news for all involved, however: Sarr is reported to be signing for a new team shortly, having reached full agreement on a two-year contract with Ligue 1 side RC Lens, with a medical expected to be completed within the next 48 hours.
Although the transfer fee remains undisclosed, it is believed that Chelsea would be happy to let Sarr go for free or a nominal fee.
Lens will be hoping Sarr can rediscover the form that tempted the Blues to sign him in the first place and view him as a key player for their eagerly anticipated Europa Conference League campaign.
