The 2024 Summer Olympics, which will be hosted by Paris, are approaching. Football will once again be included, with a condensed tournament for men’s and women’s teams.
Olympic rules state that the men’s football tournament must be comprised of players under the age of 23 (born on or after 1 January 2001), with three players over that age allowed from each nation. The women’s tournament has no age restrictions.
With Euro 2024 and Copa America just behind us, many stars are not on their national team rosters, but there are still teams with a lot of potential, such as Argentina, Spain and the United States. As host country, France automatically qualified for both the men’s and women’s tournaments.

Football at the 2024 Olympics is one of the few events, which also include rugby, archery and handball, that start before the Games’ opening ceremony on Friday 26 July.
