Manchester United are set for a radical restructuring this summer. The club are reportedly looking to sell seven high-profile players to raise funds for new signings.

Having spent almost £90m (US$115.8m) on Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee, United manager Erik ten Hag is not done yet and wants to add a central midfielder, another centre-back and a right-back.

For these new deals to be possible, seven players could be on their way out. According to ESPNVictor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Christian Eriksen, all in the final year of their contracts, are all up for sale, with Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, Jadon Sancho and Antony also all set to leave if suitable offers are made.

Big names on the move for Manchester United

The potential departures of these seven stars, who cost United a total of £324.5m ($418m), could mean major changes at Old Trafford. Jadon Sancho, who has returned to the team after a loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, is said to be close to signing for PSG.

Victor Lindelof, a reliable defender for years, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, a solid right-back, have both been linked with other Premier League clubs. United recently rejected a bid from Fulham for McTominay, while West Ham have shown interest in Wan-Bissaka.

Antony, the Brazilian winger who arrived for £80m ($103m) from Ajax, has failed to impress. Despite rumours of a possible exit, his agent Junior Pedroso said:

“I see reports of a possible loan move. Antony’s plan is clear: Manchester United. He wants to stay, he is only focused on Manchester United. We have already spoken about it with the club.”

United have already offloaded Mason Greenwood, who joined Marseille in a deal worth more than £30m ($38.6m). This move has freed up more budget for potential new signings.

As United look to bolster their squad, names such as Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt and PSG’s Manuel Ugarte have been linked with a possible move to Old Trafford.
