Liverpool held an open training session at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, attended by more than 1,000 fans. Diogo Jota, who had rejoined the team from Pittsburgh, took part, but Curtis Jones was absent through injury.
Jones had started against Real Betis, but left the pitch after just half an hour of play due to injury.
Arne Slot was asked about his early exit from the match and said: “Maybe he could have continued playing, but it was clear that he was not 100 percent. In a friendly, with many more games ahead of us on our tour, it is better to take him off. We hope for a speedy recovery and to be able to see him in the next matches.”

Andy Robertson did not train as he continues to monitor his fitness in pre-season. He will not be available for the games against Arsenal and Manchester United.
Slot added: “He is not fully fit yet, but we hope he will be ready for the end of the tour, or shortly after. He had a minor injury during the Euros and has been recovering since then. He is now with us and we hope he will be fully fit again after the tour.”

Youth midfielder James McConnell also missed training with a minor injury, The Athletic reported. Ben Doak and Trey Nyoni also did not take part in the session, with Slot, according to the Liverpool Echo, cautious about overworking the youngsters.
Back on Merseyside, Jayden Danns and Bobby Clark continue to recover from injuries at the AXA Melwood Training Centre. Clark has been battling a back problem since the end of last season.
