Victor Osimhen has established himself as one of the most powerful goalscorers in European football during his time at Napoli in Serie A.
The Nigerian striker joined the Partenopei in 2020 and helped lead them to their first Scudetto since the days of Diego Maradona in 2022/23, scoring 31 goals in 39 games in all competitions for his club.
Although Napoli have struggled since winning the title, Osimhen remains a highly sought-after player. The 25-year-old, a finalist at the African Cup of Nations earlier in 2024, continues to be linked with a possible move away from Italy before the start of the 2024/25 season.
Chelsea have long been linked with a bid for the player and it was most recently reported that a swap deal could be on the cards, involving Romelu Lukaku.
Paris Saint-Germain, who still need to replace Kylian Mbappé this year, are also credited with an interest in Osimhen.

It may seem like an odd move for a player who appears to have achieved all he can at the club and is eyeing a possible transfer, but there was a good reason behind Osimhen’s decision to extend his contract.
The new deal not only saw Osimhen’s salary almost double to a reported level 10 million euros (10.85 million dollars) per seasonThe contract also contains a release clause, which is said to be between 120 million euros and 130 million euros.
If a team were willing to pay that clause in 2024, Napoli would not be able to prevent their star striker from leaving, although a nine-figure fee would of course allow them to invest in the team to a significant degree.

Osimhen’s net worth is unclear and the subject of much speculation online, but realistic estimates put it between 10 million and 12 million dollars.
