Endo’s future in limbo
Slot has used the first pre-season matches to evaluate his players and has reportedly decided on the future of Wataru Endo.
The Japanese midfielder, who had a solid debut season at Anfield, is now up for sale for the right price. Journalist David Lynch revealed:
“I understand they would be willing to sell Endo this summer. That is a possibility now.”
However, Endo is not willing to go down without a fight. Lynch further added that Born N’Red:
“I also understand why the player is reluctant to do that. He wants to stay and fight for his place. If Liverpool are willing to sell him, that will put a spoke in their wheel.”
Endo’s decision to stay could significantly affect Liverpool’s transfer plans. If he does stay, it seems unlikely that Liverpool will bring in another specialist in the No. 6 position, which could affect his performance this season.
