What is Papatui?

Papatui isn’t a code word or an inside joke; it’s a dermatology company that provides skincare and grooming products. The company was founded in early 2024 and its goal is to “create products with ingredients that are both effective and cleaner,” according to a press release. press releaseThey offer various face creams, body washes, shampoos and even creams to help with tattoo healing.

While many companies like Papatui exists, it quickly gained importance thanks to one of its main founders.

Meaning of Papatui

The word Papatui comes from Samoan and is the brainchild of company founder Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Like so much in the actor’s life, it’s all about family. “Papa” is Samoan for “rock,” and Johnson is giving a nod not only to his role as a father to his three children, but also to the importance his father and grandfather have played in his life. “Tui” is his grandfather’s nickname for him.

What is the connection between Papatui and The Rock?

Johnson helped launch Papatui in March 2024. It’s been a long time coming, as the company said research into the field and its potential products began more than three years ago. Johnson has been an advocate for wellness, particularly men’s health, for years and wants to provide men with “premium products without having to pay premium prices.”

As for why those hats were raised at the tournament, it’s either a marketing ploy or pure coincidence. Johnson isn’t known as a big tennis fan and is probably trying to enjoy the spectacle that is the US Open.
