We know what you’re thinking: Will there be a season 5 of Emily in Paris? Netflix hasn’t confirmed anything yet, but creator Darren Star already has some “surprise plot twists” ready to go.
Emily in Paris Season 4 is a two-part story, with each episode featuring five completely separate episodes. While Part 1 of Season 4 delved more directly into the Emily-Gabriel-Camille love triangle, Part 2 took a different route…to Rome, of course.
If you’ve watched the hit series before, you’ll know that Emily seems to have definitely chosen Italy, where she’s running a new office of the Grateau Agency in the capital. She’s also lucky in love, having met her new lover Marcello by chance while skiing with Gabriel and Camille.
All of this makes Emily in Paris season 5 a very intriguing series, if not renamed. But it gets even more exciting… creator Darren Star has hinted that if new episodes air, some unexpected plotlines from past seasons could be brought back.
Speaking to Jugo Mobile, he explained: “There are some potential storylines that were set up in previous seasons that could resurface in the future… in Season 5.
“It will be a surprise for the new episodes.”
Actress Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, who plays Sylvie, added: “Darren always keeps quiet about these things. He doesn’t say anything!”
As for the rest of the Emily in Paris cast, they all have different ideas about how Emily in Paris season 5 could play out.
“I had already imagined what Julian wanted to do,” Arnold said. “But every time I came back for a new season, the writers did something much better. So I learned my lesson and I just trust Darren and his team.”
“I’m really looking forward to seeing what they have in store for season 5.”
Lucas Bravo, best known for his role as Emily’s hottie Gabriel, had a different idea.
“I want Gabriel to open a vegetarian restaurant,” he added. “I know it’s entertainment, but we have a huge international platform, it would be great to get that message out.”
While Emily seems to have found her place in Rome, fans have seen Gabriel get his first Michelin star at the same time in the new TV series. When he hears the news about Emily, he sets out to find her… but will he be too late?
