The NBA introduces fans of every team to players with different personalities. Over the course of their careers, many fans learn to appreciate them on and off the court.
The NBA is one of the many leagues that allows for a lot of interaction between fans and players. As a result, many team fans tend to like certain players in the league. Unfortunately, one NBA fan favorite is about to head overseas for continue his basketball career elsewhere.
“Center Boban Marjanovic has agreed to a deal with Euroleague team Fenerbahce after spending the last nine seasons in the NBA,” ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reported Tuesday.
Marjanovic made his NBA debut in the 2015 season with the San Antonio Spurs. During his nine years in the league, the Serbian averaged 5.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 0.5 assists on a 57.8% shooting percentage.
The 2.23 m Serbian started becoming a joy to soccer fans during his time with the Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Clippers. Between his off-court videos on the team’s social media accounts and his friendship with former teammate Tobias Harris, the big man became easy to root for.
While it won’t be as easy for NBA fans to see him leave, rest assured that many people will follow him throughout his basketball career overseas.
