The Rams’ receiver room is already riddled with injuries.

Los Angeles lost second-year receiver Puka Nacua to an ACL sprain in Week 1, placing him on IR with an expected return around Week 9, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

That should have opened the door for Cooper Kupp to regain his All-Pro potential, but he also suffered an injury in the Rams’ Week 2 loss to the Cardinals.

How long will Los Angeles go without Kupp? Jugo Mobile has you covered with the latest updates below.

Cooper Kupp injury update

Kupp limped off the field late in the first half. He remained on the sidelines for a few plays, but then returned to the field for the last play before halftime.

Although it was assumed that meant he was ready to go, he was either more injured than previously thought or he may have aggravated his injury.

Kupp did not return to the game, but the Rams were already down by several points.

On Monday, he was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain. Head coach Sean McVay said Kupp is expected to miss “an extended period of time” and could be placed on injured reserve.

How long will Cooper Kupp be out?

Although McVay initially said Kupp was a candidate for IR, that is no longer the case.

“There are currently no plans to place WR Cooper Kupp on injured reserve,” ESPN’s Schefter tweeted Wednesday.

That means the Rams believe Kupp should be able to return within the next three weeks, given that IR would keep him out for at least four games.

Kupp shouldn’t be expected to play this Sunday against the 49ers, but it’s a positive update to hear he could be back sooner rather than later.

Rams wide receiver depth chart

Player Name Depth character position
Cooper Kupp (Inj.) WR1
Puka Nacua (IR) WR2
Demarcus Robinson WR3
Tyler Johnson WR4
Tutu Atwell WR5
Jordan Whittington WR6

While not explicitly receivers, running back Kyren Williams and tight end Colby Parkinson will both likely see an increase in targets with Kupp sidelined.
