The Formula 1 season takes a breather after the Singapore Grand Prix on September 22.
With six races left to go this season, the World Drivers’ Championship title is up for grabs.
Defending world champion Max Verstappen had taken a strong lead earlier this season, but that started to diminish with the Dutchman unable to win a Grand Prix since his triumph in Spain in June. The likes of Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc have started to catch up.
Verstappen still leads the pack with 331 points. Norris is in second place with 279 points. Leclerc is in third place with 245 and Australian driver Oscar Piastri has 237 points.
Meanwhile in the Constructors’ Championship, McLaren-Mercedes is in top spot with 516 points. Red Bull Racing-Honda RBPT is second with 475 while Ferrari is in third spot with 441.
After a gap of nearly a month, the season will resume at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas on October 20.
