Kylian Mbappe could make a shock return to the Real Madrid starting line up in their UEFA Champions League clash at Lille on October 1.
The France captain missed the weekend 1-1 La Liga derby draw with Atletico Madrid due to a hamstring issue and was expected to remain sidelined until after the October international break.
That would have included missing out on a return to his native country to face Lille and the home fixture with Villarreal on October 5.

However, Carlo Ancelotti has produced a surprise in his squad roster to take on the Ligue 1 side, with Mbappe on the flight from Madrid.

As per reports from Diario AS, Ancelotti has been surprised by Mbappe’s quick recovery, and he could be thrown straight back into the team, if he proves his fitness overnight.
On the back of a bruising showdown with Atletico Madrid, Thibaut Courtois misses out with a minor muscle injury, with Andriy Lunin set to start in goal.
Ancelotti could rotate other parts of his team, due to the packed schedule, with Eduardo Camavinga and Fran Garcia potentially starting at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
Real Madrid kicked off their Champions League title defence with a 3-1 home win over VfB Stuttgart earlier this month.
