Over the past few weeks, the Eagles have been heating up.

Jalen Hurts has led Philadelphia to four-straight wins, and with a matchup against the Cowboys now on deck, he’ll be looking to push that win streak even further in Week 10.

However, there were some questions regarding the quarterback’s status for the divisional matchup.

Head coach Nick Sirianni had an interesting answer about Hurts’ injury in his Friday press conference, going back and forth on why he’s been held out of practice.

Here’s what Sirianni said about Hurts’ injury, plus the latest details to know about the quarterback’s health.

What did Nick Sirianni say about Jalen Hurts?

On Friday, a reporter asked Sirianni about Hurts being held back for “load management” after his status at Wednesday’s practice.

The head coach answered that Hurts was “dealing with the ankle” and the team was being cautious with the situation. But the strange part about the interaction was that on the Eagles’ practice report, Hurts was listed as limited on Wednesday with “rest.”

After reporters followed up with Sirianni about if Hurts was dealing with an ankle injury, he said he thought they “were talking about somebody else,” backtracking to say that Hurts was just limited due to rest.

Here’s the video from the interaction:

And with that, here’s the transcript from what Sirianni and the reporter said:

Is Jalen Hurts injured?

Hurts is officially off the Eagles’ injury report and expected to play against the Cowboys on Sunday.

The quarterback hasn’t missed a game this season, but ESPN’s Tim McManus did report Friday that Hurts has been dealing with a “mild ankle issue” for a few weeks. He was limited at Wednesday’s practice due to “rest,” and Hurts also reportedly didn’t take reps during individual drills on Wednesday after he came out to the field late.

In the Week 10 matchup between Dallas and Philadelphia, the Cowboys are already set to be without star quarterback Dak Prescott due to an injury. Hurts may have some bumps and bruises right now, but he should be good to go for the divisional game.
