Jamal Musiala couldn’t help himself.
While on a trip to the United States, Bayern Munich’s young playmaker appeared to give away the identity of one of his favourite movies.
And since Christmas wasn’t too long ago, it makes sense that this particular film was on Musiala’s mind.
He took advantage of a trip to New York City that included a game at Madison Square Garden as the Knicks continued their recent winning streak over a busy festive schedule, hopping into a limo with a cheese pizza.
Fans of the Home Alone franchise, starring Macaulay Culkin, will recall his character Kevin McAllister being a huge fan of having cheese pizzas all to himself.
And in the NYC-based sequel, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Kevin takes a trip in a stretch with his favourite meal for company.
The footballer even appeared to replicate Kevin’s beverage of choice to perfection, pouring Coca-Cola into a wine glass.
On social media, Musiala shared his homage to that scene as well as some snaps from his time at MSG.

Reports that Musiala “smooched with everybody” during his New York trip, however, including “Snuffy, Al, Leo, Little Moe with the gimpy leg, Cheeks, Boney Bob and Cliff”, appear to be false.

Musiala has been linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena in recent weeks, and several top clubs are reportedly keen on acquiring his services.
Those linked include Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain. However Bayern understandably wish to keep the man who could be a lynchpin of their side for the next decade, so this is one marketplace in the transfer window that could really heat up.
When do Bayern Munich play their next game?
The Bundesliga’s winter break gives players the chance to embark on such holidays mid-season, while the Premier League and some other top flights instead feature a very busy footballing schedule over the holidays.
The Bavarians are back in action on Saturday, January 11 when they head to Borussia Monchengladbach.
