The Northern Expedition update in Fisch introduced six new fishing rods into the game designed to catch the strongest and largest creatures with ease. However, most of these powerful rods come at a hefty price, except for one. Meet the most pocket-friendly Arctic rod, which not only costs less but also brings some powerful stats at its price. Steps to Get the Arctic Rod in Fisch
Locating the Arctic rod is easy and doesn’t require you to complete any tricky puzzles like the other three in the Northern Expedition area of Fisch. All you need to do is sail southwest of Moosewood, go behind the Terrapin island, and pass through the massive greenish portal.
This will transport you to another sea, where you can sail towards the green text saying Northern Expedition to reach the island. Having reached the island, head straight past the Shipwright and take the first right turn.
This is the first campsite at the ground level. The Arctic rod is placed on top of a wooden crate in front of the Merchant. Here, you can buy the rod for only 25,000 cash.
Furthermore, at this campsite, you will also find the Basic Oxygen Tank, required for scaling up the mountain. Once you start climbing up the mountain, you will soon find the second campsite, where you can grab the Blue Energy Crystal required to unlock the Heaven’s Rod.
Arctic Rod Stats in Fisch
The Arctic Rod is one of the best early-game rods in Fisch, especially in terms of value for money. It is the reason we have this early-game rod so high on our Fisch rods tier list. At such a low price, you get a high Control, Resilience, and Max Kg stat, that iy even allows you to catch the Megalodon and Kraken as well. That said, here are the stats of the Arctic Rod in Fisch:

- Luck: 65%
- Control: 0.18
- Resilience: 15%
- Max Kg: 80,000kg
Having saved enough cash, it is highly recommended to go for this one after the Steady Rod at the early stages of the game. This will let you catch any heavy-weight fish early in the game. Moreover, it’s worth enchanting as you might keep it with you for a long time (until you have enough money for the Rod of the Depths).
So, consider applying Hasty to get instant catches. Apply the Abyssal enchant if want that extra cash, or use Clever for some extra XP. The resilience of this rod is good enough but can be further boosted using Seaweed or Deep Coral Baits. Therefore, you won’t require any Resilient, Control, or Steady enchant on this.
