Real Madrid warm up for their Madrid derby in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday by heading to Real Betis in La Liga on Saturday,
The reigning champions are level on points with Barcelona at the top of the standings and are just a point ahead of Atletico Madrid in third, so Carlo Ancelotti cannot afford to rest too many key players if he wants to maintain a challenge for league and Champions League glory.
Betis sit seventh in the table, just three points outside the top four, so this is by no means an easy assignment for Los Blancos. With former head coach Manuel Pellegrini and playmaker Isco present for the opposition, Madrid know exactly the kind of quality they are up against.

34 mins: GOAL! BETIS DRAW LEVEL! Of course it’s Isco who creates the goal, his corner picking out Johnny Cardoso unmarked in the six-yard box. Courtois gets hands to the ball, but he can’t react quickly enough to keep it out. It’s 1-1!
31 mins: Half a chance for Marc Bartra, but he can’t make clean contact on the volley. Betis are looking more dangerous now. Jesus Rodriguez in particular is causing Vazquez big problems.
28 mins: Betis are enjoying a lot more of the ball now, but they still haven’t been able to test Thibaut Courtois. Ricardo Rodriguez gets forward this time but is able only to concede a goal kick after good defending from Antonio Rudiger.

Real Betis are laden with a few key injuries that could hamper their chances in this match.
Midfielder Gio Lo Celso is out for another few weeks with a muscle injury, and the same is true for Abde Ezzalzouli. Hector Bellerin is in concussion protocol leaving him a doubt, and Marc Roca is likely out for a few weeks with a new foot injury.
