The Philadelphia Eagles were dominant last season, going 14-3 in the regular season to take the NFC East before following that up with a strong playoff run ending in a resounding Super Bowl 59 victory over the Chiefs. Now the Eagles will be trying to follow suit and repeat as NFL champions.

As expected, the Eagles faced some post-ring personnel drain in free agency, needing to rely on even more youngsters defensively for Vic Fangio. They also lost offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, leading to more change around Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts.

Here’s breaking down the Eagles’ outlook in their quest to also win Super Bowl 60 at the end of the 2025 season and 2026 playoffs.

Eagles strength of schedule

The Eagles should see they have a tough schedule as their opponents combined to go 162-127 last season. (.561). That gives them the fourth-most difficult slate in the NFL by that metric, they also will face 11 playoff teams.

Toughest tests: Their Super Bowl rematch with the Chiefs is away in Kansas City. The Bills present another brutal interconference road game. Beyond the two games with the Commanders, every NFC East game can be tricky. They also play the entire NFC North and AFC West. In the NFC at home, they will see the Lions and Rams trying to put a dent into their favorite status.

Biggest breaks: There’s not much here, so the Eagles will be fine with the Raiders and Bears, and they’ll get some reprieve with the pair against both the Cowboys and Giants.

Eagles record prediction

  • Over/under win total: 11.5 (per BetMGM)

Bottom line: The Eagles definitely got “rewarded” with the degree of difficulty rising in their marquee matchups. They will need to cope with more personnel and coaching upheaval, but their core of Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and other veterans will help them maintain their position as NFC East champions and a contender for the conference’s top seed again.

Record prediction: 12-5
