Tired of having your weapons, buildings, and bikes broken during fights? The best way to avoid this is to repair them. In Dune Awakening, repairing can be a bit confusing. The items cannot be repaired using the normal fabricator you initially used to create them, while buildings and vehicles can be repaired with the same tool used to create or assemble them. How to Repair Items in Dune Awakening
Every item in Dune Awakening has a durability stat. Using the items slowly reduces their durability and eventually makes them unusable. Repairing the item resets its durability stat, but it comes with its own strings. To repair items in Dune Awakening, you need a Repair Station.
You will need iron ingots to build one. As such, mine iron deposits using a Cuttray MK1 and then refine them into ingots using an Ore Refinery. With that done, here is how you can build a repair station and use it to repair items:
- Open the Research window and head to the Building tab.
- Look for the Repair Station among the Iron Products and research it.
- Use the Building tool and place the Repair Station inside your base.
Once that’s done, insert your item and the raw materials needed to repair it. Also, you must have researched the item before you can repair it. So, if you are using an item from your friend but haven’t researched it yet, you won’t be able to repair it either.
How to Repair Bikes in Dune Awakening
Bikes can also get damaged while traveling, especially if hit by gunshots or from dust storms. Repairing bikes is super easy, as all you need is a Welding Torch and Welding Wires. You must already have these items. If not, fabricate them in the fabricator and then follow the steps below:
- Equip the Welding Torch in your hand and point it at your bike.
- Right-click to swap the mode to Repair, then left-click to repair the broken part.
- Continue pointing at different parts and repairing them to repair your bike completely.
How to Repair Buildings in Dune Awakening
Repairing buildings is almost the same as repairing bikes. However, you will need to use the Construction tool instead of the Welding torch. If you’ve already built a base, you should have it. Here is how you can repair buildings in Dune Awakening:
- Equip the Construction tool in your hand and point it at the building you want to repair.
- Right-click to swap the mode to Repair, and then left-click to repair the building.
- You can continue doing this to repair all the buildings.
