After weeks of anticipation, the crown jewel of tennis returns once again with the 138th edition of Wimbledon set to take place in London, England from Monday, June 30 onwards.

Carlos Alcaraz is the men’s defending champion, having won the last two editions of the tournament, with the Spaniard hoping to win Wimbledon for the third successive year.

Currently on an 18-match unbeaten streak (the best of his career) and undefeated on grass courts since June 2024, Alcaraz is the man to beat. However, it will be a tough journey to a second grand slam of the season for the 22-year-old with world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, and local favorite Jack Draper in the mix.

It’s a stacked field in the women’s category, with a tough task ahead for defending champion Barbora Krejcikova who will look to become the first player in nine years to defend the women’s singles title.

American duo Madison Keys and Coco Gauff are two of the favorites to win this year’s Wimbledon, having already won the Australian Open and French Open respectively. World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka will look to make a statement by winning her first grand slam of the year.
