How to buy FIFA World Cup tickets 2026

Tickets to the 2026 FIFA World Cup are officially sold through FIFA, who will hold a handful of drawing opportunities ahead of the tournament. The next lottery opens after the Final Draw on December 5. Fans must have a FIFA ID to register.

Those interested in attending a match can register for the latest news and ticket information here.

However, passes are not guaranteed for everyone who enters. 

You can find more tickets on secondary sites like StubHub. Prices may be higher or lower than face value, and tickets are not guaranteed to be authenticated by FIFA.

When do 2026 FIFA World Cup tickets go on sale?

FIFA will hold four ticket phases for the 2026 World Cup. All phases involve an application process with randomized selection.

The first phase is the Visa Presale Draw, which ran from September 10-19. The second opportunity is during the Early Ticket Draw, which has an open entry period from October 27-31.

The Random Selection Draw will occur on December 5 shortly after the Final Draw determining group stage matchups. The final stage of ticket entry will be during the Last-Minute Sales Phase just ahead of the tournament.

How much are 2026 FIFA World Cup tickets?

Prices for 2026 FIFA World Cup tickets will range throughout matchups, venue and round.

The tournament will use dynamic pricing for all its matchups, but tickets on StubHub may not reflect original costs.

As of fall 2025, group stage matchups have a get-in price ranging from $450 to $1,200. Semifinals tickets start at $1,800, third-place match at $1,000 and gold medal match at $5,700. 

FIFA World Cup 2026 groups, teams

Participating teams and groups will be determined in spring of 2026. However, all three host countries – USA, Canada and Mexico – have earned automatic bids to the World Cup.

Here’s how qualifications are split between confederations:

  • AFC – Eight direct spots + one inter-confederations play-off place
  • CAF – Nine direct spots + one inter-confederations play-off place
  • CONCACAF – Six direct spots + two inter-confederations play-off places
  • CONMEBOL – Six direct spots + one inter-confederation play-off place
  • OFC – One direct spot + one inter-confederations play-off place
  • EUFA – 16 direct spots

A handful of non-hosting teams have officially qualified for the tournament. That includes Australia, IR Iran, Japan, Jordan, Korea Republic, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Algeria, Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ghana, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, New Zealand, England, France, Croatia, Norway and Portugal.
