At its Glowtime event, Apple finally revealed the Apple Intelligence features that will be coming to the new iPhone 16 series. While iOS 18 beta users were able to get their hands on some of the Apple Intelligence features, they are not yet available for testing if you don’t want to bother with beta updates. If you are eager to try out Apple’s new AI features, here is the Apple Intelligence release date.
When will Apple Intelligence be available?
Apple has revealed that Apple Intelligence will be available on all supported devices starting in October in US EnglishApple Intelligence is expected to roll out to users with new operating system updates in October. If you’re wondering whether you’ll be able to use the Apple Intelligence feature on your new iPhone 16 right out of the box, the answer is no. Apple Intelligence will be coming to the US starting next month, even on the iPhone 16.
If you are not a resident of the United States, Apple Intelligence will be available in December in the following regions:
- Australia
- Canada
- New Zealand
- South Africa
- United Kingdom
This will be followed by the release of Apple Intelligence in Chinese, French, Japanese and Spanish in 2025. It is disappointing that India, despite being one of the fastest growing markets for Apple, has not been included in the list.

What Apple Intelligence features will be available at release
At WWDC 2024, Apple already informed us that Apple Intelligence features will be rolled out in a staggered manner. So far, we have seen Apple release the following Apple Intelligence features in beta updates. So we can expect Apple to bring these features to supported devices with x.1 updates.
According to the latest report from Mark Gurman, Apple has delayed notable AI features like Genmoji and Image Playground to the iOS 18.2 beta, which could be released in December. These features will therefore not be available in the Apple Intelligence version. Additionally, ChatGPT integration and the new Siri with contextual recognition are not expected until 2025.
