Just in time for spring, Bird Buddy announced the upcoming launch of its new $239 smart hummingbird feeder. It will use the same integrated AI technology and camera module as the company’s original and super-popular smart bird feeder, but is designed to attract and specifically identify more than 360 species of hummingbirds. You can view close-up images, live feeds, and catalog each bird to keep track of your backyard biopersity.
The Bird Buddy camera module captures five-megapixel photos and high-definition videos within a wide 120-degree field of view. The camera points to red, lily-shaped feeding ports designed to attract hummingbirds, as this is their natural choice of flowers and colors. The two-part power base snaps together easily with a seal to prevent mold and leaks for easy cleaning.

Like the original Bird Buddy, the Smart Hummingbird Feeder can be ordered with or without a sunroof, but spending the extra money may be worth it if you don’t want to mess with the setup every time you need to recharge the camera.
