Chelsea have a solid attack, but the Blues have yet to figure out Enzo Maresca’s tactics in defence. The Blues conceded twice against Manchester City and Wolves to start the Premier League season, and they were nearly shocked by Servette away in the Europa Conference League, with the Swiss side scoring twice in a near-perfect comeback.
The Blues beat Bournemouth 2-1 in their last meeting in May, but still conceded 22 shots and 2.22 xG to the Cherries as the now-departed Djordje Petrovic stood on his head. Bournemouth have been unlucky on several occasions against Chelsea in recent times, scoring just two goals in their last three meetings despite 45 shots worth 4.55 xG. They will have a good chance of turning that around here.
