The Denver Broncos waived linebacker Levelle Bailey this week when the team opted to sign another player not on the 53-man roster, Kristian Welch. Bailey, who was on the team’s initial 53-man roster, was later exposed to waivers.
The Broncos had to wait 24 hours to see if any of the 31 other teams would make a request for Bailey. Luckily for them, that didn’t happen. Bailey will now join the Broncos’ practice squad.
The source indicates that LB Levelle Bailey, released yesterday by #Broncoswas allowed to opt out and will sign with the Broncos’ practice squad.

Bailey had a great summer in Denver after being signed as an undrafted free agent out of Fresno State. The Broncos decided that Welch and his special teams ability would be a great addition to the team, but Bailey is a name to watch for the future.
After working all pre-season to earn a spot in the team, Bailey capped things off with a 94-yard interception return for a touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals.
