Additionally, its screen sharing option can be extremely useful for sharing information during meetings. However, as is often the case with technology, one may experience hiccups when using Zoom, even when sharing screens. If you’re having trouble with this feature in Zoom, we can help.

We’ve put together four common solutions to Zoom screen sharing issues, with specific steps on how to apply them across multiple devices.
Screen sharing not working in Zoom on a Mac
To get screen sharing working via macOS, try the following solutions. At the end of each one, test if the problem is solved.
1. Check your Internet connection
For screen sharing to work well, you need access to a strong Internet connection. To ensure you have enough bandwidth available, consider using an Ethernet cable to connect your computer directly to your router or modem.
2. Check that you have allowed access to your microphone and camera
Zoom requires access to your microphone and camera for all of its features to work. Make sure you have allowed web browser access to your microphone and camera:
- From the top left, click on the apple icon.

- Select System Preferences > Security and Privacy.

- Click on Privacy and choose any Camera either Microphone.

- Check the checkbox next to your browser and allow it to access your camera or microphone.

3. Disable other apps that access your camera
Zoom will have trouble accessing your camera if it is currently accessed by other apps. To disable another app’s access to your camera:
- Click on the apple icon from the top left corner.
- Click System Preferences > Security and Privacy.
- Click on Privacy and choose Camera.
- Deselect the box[es] next to the application[s] to disable access.
4. Try deleting and then reinstalling the Zoom app
By deleting the Zoom app, you will delete all of its associated data, which could be causing the problem. Then reinstall it to have the latest version on your desktop. To remove Zoom:
- Click on Discoverer from the Dock.

- From the sidebar, click Applications.

- Drag the app to the Trashor click on the app and then select Archive and Move to trash.

- Enter your Mac username and password if prompted.
To reinstall Zoom:
- Click on the App Store app through your Dock.
- Enter a search for the Zoom app and then click on it.
- Click Get below the app to install it.

Try the following fixes through Windows to get screen sharing working. Check each time to see if you have resolved the problem.
1. Check your Internet connection
Zoom needs a strong internet connection for screen sharing as it consumes a lot of bandwidth. Try connecting to your router or modem using an Ethernet cable for the best connection.
2. Check if you have allowed access to your microphone and camera
To fix screen sharing issue on Zoom, try allowing access to your microphone and camera. To do this through Windows:
- Select Settings so Privacy.

- From the left panel below Application permissionsselect Camera.

- Enable the following two options: Allow access to this device’s camera and Allow apps to access your camera.
- Navigate to Allow desktop apps to access your camera and ensure Zoom is listed.

- Repeat the steps for your microphone.
3. Disable other apps that access your camera
For Zoom to access your camera for screen sharing, you’ll need to disable access to other apps. To do this:
- Gonna Settings, Privacythen from the left panel, Camera.

- From the right panel, scroll down to Choose which apps can access your camera p.

- Here you can prevent any app from accessing your camera by switching the app switch to Off.

4. Try deleting and then reinstalling the Zoom app
Try deleting the Zoom app to remove all associated data. Then reinstall it to have the latest version on your desktop. To remove the Zoom app:
- Click Begin and find Zoom on the list.

- Long press or right click, then select Uninstall.

To reinstall Zoom:
- Click on Begin and choose Microsoft Store.
- Go to the Applications eyelash.
- Select Show at the end of a category row to see more apps.
- Find the Zoom app and then select Get To download it.

Try the following tips via your iPhone to resolve screen sharing issues. Check after each tip to see if the problem is fixed.
1. Check your Internet connection
Screen sharing on Zoom requires a lot of bandwidth; Therefore, make sure your Wi-Fi connection is strong. Otherwise, try strengthening the signal by restarting your router or modem to refresh the connection.
2. Check that you have allowed access to your microphone and camera
For screen sharing to work, Zoom requires access to your microphone and camera. To allow access through your iPhone:
- Open the Settings application.

- Tap Privacy.

- Tap Microphoneand then enable the switch next to Zoom.

- Tap “Privacy” at the top left to return.

- Choose Camera.

- Enable the toggle switch next to Zoom.

3. Disable other apps that access your camera
Make sure other apps installed on your iPhone do not have access to your camera. They could be causing Zoom to have access issues. To disable camera access for other apps:
- Open Settings.

- Tap Privacy.

- Choose Camera.

- Disable the toggle switch next to other apps where it is enabled.

4. Try deleting and then reinstalling the Zoom app
Delete the Zoom app to remove all associated data. Then reinstall it to have the latest version on your iPhone. To remove Zoom from your iPhone:
- Long press the Zoom app.

- In the pop-up menu, tap Delete applications.

- Now it’s time Delete application so Delete to confirm.

To reinstall Zoom:
- Open the App Store.

- Locate the zoom app.

- Tap the cloud and down arrow icon to install it.

To resolve your Zoom screen sharing issue, try the following via your Android device. Test again after each solution to see if the problem is resolved.
1. Check your Internet connection
Screen sharing works well with a strong internet connection as it requires a lot of bandwidth. Make sure your Android Wi-Fi connection is strong. If it is weak, try restarting your router or modem to reestablish the connection.
2. Check that you have allowed access to your microphone and camera
Zoom also requires access to your microphone and camera to share your screen. To allow access through your Android device:
- Open the Settings application.

- Choose Applications either Apps and notifications.

- Search and tap Zoomand then play Permissions.

- Toggle the Microphone and Camera permissions enabled to allow access to Zoom.

3. Disable other apps that access your camera
If other apps installed on your Android device have access to your camera, Zoom will have trouble accessing the camera. To disable camera access for other apps:
- Open Settings and touch Applications either Apps and notifications.

- Select an application, then from the Application information screen, touch Permissions.

- Make sure camera permission is disabled.

- Check the permissions of your other apps.
4. Try deleting and then reinstalling the Zoom app
You can try to remove the app and all associated data by deleting it. Then, when you reinstall it, you will have the latest version of the application. To delete the app via your Android device:
- Long press the Zoom app.

- You should feel your phone vibrate once. You will now have access to move the app around the screen.
- Move the app to Uninstall at the top of the screen.

- When it turns red, release the app to delete it.

To reinstall Zoom:
- Tap the Google Play app to zoom app.

- Tap Install to install Zoom on your device.
